Medina, who proposed to fiancee Juliana Ramos in 2009 at the Starbucks where she worked, has since had to put the wedding plans on hold. In October 2009, just two months before the wedding was to take place, she was in a devastating car accident that left her in a wheelchair with serious brain damage.
