Jennifer Beals
Irene Cara is best known as a singer of movie themes, though she worked as an actress since childhood. Raised in New York City, she appeared on Broadway in 1967 in the musical Maggie Flynn at age eight and can be heard on the cast album for the show The Me Nobody Knows. From the age of 16, she was turning up on television and in films, including a part in the TV mini-series Roots 2 in 1979. In 1980, she was catapulted into stardom and a singing career by her appearance in the film Fame, for which she sang the title song, an Oscar-winning Top Ten hit. Also from the film was her Top 40 hit "Out Here on My Own." In 1983, she topped the charts with "Flashdance...What a Feelin'" from the movie Flashdance, a song she co-wrote that won another Oscar, and Cara won a couple of Grammys for her contributions to the soundtrack. Her What a Feelin' album included the hits "Why Me?" and "Breakdance," and she also made the Top 40 with a third movie theme, "The Dream (Hold on to Your Dream)," from DC Cab. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
Jennifer Beals stars as Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel-mill welder by day, and bar dancer by night. Harboring dreams of a career in ballet, she is given financial support in this endeavor by her boss Nick Hurley (Michael Nouri) and moral support by demanding but big-hearted instructor Hanna Long (Lilia Skala). The film's signature scene is, of course, Alex's water-drenched dance audition, largely performed in long shot by her dance double Marine Jahan. Essentially an old-fashioned backstage yarn, Flashdance was given a contemporary spin by its pulsating, musical score featuring the Oscar-winning Best Song, Flashdance...What a Feeling, (music by Giorgio Moroder, lyrics by Keith Forsey and Irene Cara).

"Jesus Of Suburbia" Lyrics: [Part 1]
I'm the son of rage and love
The Jesus of Suburbia
From the bible of none of the above
On a steady diet of
Soda pop and Ritalin
No one ever died for my sins in hell
As far as I can tell
At least the ones I got away with
And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me
Get my television fixed
Sitting on my crucifix
The living room or my private womb
While the Moms and Brads are away
To fall in love and fall in debt
To alcohol and cigarettes and Mary Jane
To keep me insane,
Doing someone else's cocaine
And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me
[Part 2: City Of The Damned]
At the center of the Earth
In the parking lot
Of the 7-11 where I was taught
The motto was just a lie
It says home is where your heart is
But what a shame
Cause everyone's heart
Doesn't beat the same
It's beating out of time
City of the dead
At the end of another lost highway
Signs misleading to nowhere
City of the damned
Lost children with dirty faces today
No one really seems to care
I read the graffiti
In the bathroom stall
Like the holy scriptures of the shopping mall
And so it seemed to confess
It didn't say much
But it only confirmed that
The center of the earth
Is the end of the world
And I could really care less
City of the dead
At the end of another lost highway
Signs misleading to nowhere
City of the damned
Lost children with dirty faces today
No one really seems to care
[Part 3: I Don't Care]
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't care
[X4]
I don't care
Everyone is so full of shit
Born and raised by hypocrites
Hearts recycled but never saved
From the cradle always to the grave
We are the kids of war and peace
From Anaheim to the middle east
We are the stories and disciples
Of the Jesus of suburbia
Land of make believe
And that don't believe in me
Land of make believe
And I don't believe
And I don't care!
I don't care! [x4]
[Part 4: Dearly Beloved]
Dearly beloved are you listening?
I can't remember a word that you were saying
Are we demented or am I disturbed?
The space that's in between insane and insecure
Oh, therapy, can you please fill the void?
Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed
Nobody's perfect and I stand accused
For lack of a better word, and that's my best excuse
[Part 5: Tales Of Another Broken Home]
To live and not to breathe
Is to die In tragedy
To run, to run away
To find what you believe
And I leave behind
This hurricane of fucking lies
I lost my faith to this
This town that don't exist
So I run
I run away
To the light of masochist
And I leave behind
This hurricane of fucking lies
And I walked this line
A million and one fucking times
But not this time
I don't feel any shame
I won't apologize
When there ain't nowhere you can go
Running away from pain
When you've been victimized
Tales from another broken home
You're leaving...
You're leaving...
You're leaving...
Ah you're leaving home...

"21 Guns" Lyrics:
Do you know what's worth fighting for?
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away and you feel yourself suffocating?
Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart inside, you're in ruins
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I ...
When you're at the end of the road
And you lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have taken their toll
When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul
Your faith walks on broken glass and the hangover doesn't pass
Nothing's ever built to last, you're in ruins
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I ...
Did you try to live on your own?
When you burned down the house and home?
Did you stand too close to the fire?
Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone
When it's time to live and let die
And you can't get another try
Something inside this heart has died, you're in ruins
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I

Warning: Since this video seems to have gone crazy, I figure I'll post this notice. I'm going to read a letter my 15 year old daughter wrote. There ARE some curse words in it. None of them are incredibly bad, but they are definitely things a little kid shouldn't hear... not to mention things MY KID shouldn't say!
If you want to see the original Facebook thread, it's located at:
http://www.facebook.com/tommyjordaniii/posts/299559803434210
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My daughter thought it would be funny/rebellious/cool to post on her Facebook wall just how upset she was and how unfair her life here is; how we work her too hard with chores, never pay her for chores, and just in general make her life difficult.
She chose to share this with the entire world on Facebook and block her parent's from seeing it. Well, umm... she failed. As of the end of this video, she won't have to worry anymore about posting inappropriate things on Facebook...
Maybe a few kids can take something away from this... If you're so disrespectful to your parents and yourself as to post this kind of thing on Facebook, you're deserving of some tough love. Today, my daughter is getting a dose of tough love.

Almost every popsong that is created in todays music business has two intentions: Make money and make the music creators and the ones that plays the music bigger and more famous. Therefore they use a chord progression which all of us already heard since we were babies. The I-V-vi-IV progression is used in so many songs that I guess no one can count them all... Of course there can be som minor or major changes with the chords but the sound is practically the same.
This was recorded in Melbourne 2009 on a Comedy Festival.
The chords used are:
E B C# A
Just to clarify that
The Australian Jack Black is Here!

Lyrics:
My life is brilliant, my love is pure, I saw an angel, of that i'm sure
Forever young, I wanna be forever young
I wont hesitate no more, no more it can not wait, i'm yours
This is the way you left me, I'm not pretending, no love no hope no glory, no happy ending
Cause you were amazing, and we did amazing
If i could, then I would, I'd go where ever you will go
And can you feel the love tonight
And she will be loved, yes, she will be loved
Pictures of you, pictures of me, hung up on your wall, for the world to see
Cause I can't live, with or without you
Whenever I fall, at your feet, you let your tense
Am I not pretty enough, is my heart to bro...
Double time?
Double time!
When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me
Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner
that's the way it's gonna be little darling (be little darling) we'll go riding on the horses yeaha
No woman no cry
Mama this surely is a dream
I come from a land down under
Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong
Take on me (when I come around) take me on (when I come around) I'll be gone, in a minute or two
Save tonight
It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
Fight the break of dawn come tomorrow
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
If I were a boy
I know she's playing with me
I think I would understand
Well that's okey cause I got no self esteem
With a thousand lies and a good disguise hit 'em right between the eyes hit 'em right between the eyes
Cause I'm not here for your entertainment you don't really wanna mess with me tonight
Can't read my, can't read my, no you can't read my poker face
Come on Barbie let's go party
Lost and insecure you found me, you found me
She wants to touch me woho, she wants to love me woho, she'll never leave me woho, wohohoho
Enjoy yourself, take only what you need from it
Take your canvas bags, take your canvas bags, take your canvas bags to the supermarket, take your canvas bags
Nothing's right i'm torn I'm all out of faith this is how I feel I'm cold and I am shamed lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed into something real
I'm wide awake and I can see I'm more than a bird, I'm more than a plane
I'm a birdplane, I'm a birdplane, a motherfucking birdplane
And doesn't that sound familiar doesn't that hit too close to home doesn't that make you shiver the way that things have gone
And doesn't it seem peculiar when everyone wants a little more so that I do remember to never go this far
That's all it takes to be a star!!!!!!
